Hallie has trial experience from both the military and private law firms. Hallie’s military career as a Naval officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps and in the reserves spanned twelve years (1990-2002). During that time, Hallie both prosecuted criminal cases in the military and defended military personnel accused of crimes. Her experience in such cases ranged from unexcused absences to murders. Hallie conducted courts martial in the Middle East during the Gulf War and acted as defense counsel for some of the accused in the Tailhook case. Her military career took her all over the world, including Spain, where she drafted a victims’ rights program, and Japan, where she tried cases on an aircraft carrier.

Hallie started expanding on this experience immediately after leaving active duty by joining the public defender's office and representing hundreds of indigent defendants in criminal court. She then left for a larger firm and worked as an associate at the firm before starting her own practice in Chattanooga. She also represents criminal defendants as a court-appointed attorney. She is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.

Hallie is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the UCLA School of Law, and she is admitted to practice before the courts of Tennessee, Virginia, and California. She handles both state and federal criminal defense and litigation cases. Contact her to discuss your case.
